Mrs Barbara Perry was elected to the NSW Parliament in late 2001. Mrs Perry - whose father left Kfarsghab at 16 years of age with "little more than the clothes on his back" - is the first female Lebanese-Australian to take on such a role.

I am delighted to acknowledge the passionate committment Barbara has for any purposed activity she is involved with.
Having the opportunity to to do some work with families in the mid ninetees who were fortunate enough to have Barbara as their Legal Counsel, I was, and remain inspired to advocate on their behalf in the knowledge that there would be nothing token about her representation of their cases.
You truly deserve the recogition of your years of driven service to clients and community.
