She studied Communications at the University of Technology, including radio, television, film and journalism. Majida has been involved in all aspects of broadcasting for a quarter of a century. In 1988 she was formally recognised when given the Paters world Broadcasting award for her excellence in television and radio arts and sciences. In the same year she won best special talk documentary category. She has worked at SBS over the years in a variety of capacities including SBS SCOOP public affairs program as an information producer. She was also deputy station manager of SBS radio in Sydney broadcasting in more than 68 languages. She represented SBS and its staff on many occasions.
