Karl Chehade

Born in Lebanon in 1933. He is the oldest son of 9 children. Karl Chehade arrived in Australia in 1951. He spent the first 14 months in Sydney before departing to Adelaide. In 1957, he opened his first menswear store in North Adelaide and within a few years he introduced formal suit hire and dry cleaning to his stores. He married Delele Helen Stevens, whose parents were immigrants themselves. They also have 5 children
Together they expanded their dry cleaning business, which numbers about 20 stores. The largest in Australia. He is known for his determination and his respect for others.
