The new Board was elected at a well attended meeting of members at the Annual General Meeting of the Network held on Wednesday 9 December 2009. The meeting was chaired by the Hon John Ajaka, MLC who was provided with honorary membership of the Network on the night. In granting Mr. Ajaka his membership trophy, Mr. Hamdan said we take pride in the role model presentation that Mr. Ajaka provides for younger members of the community. He joins 15 head of Arab diplomatic missions in Australia who were appointed honorary members last year, Mr Hamdan said.
A comprehensive printed annual report on the activities of the Network was provided and adopted at the meeting. It provided an eventful year for the Network which saw its membership grow from 60 to 120, including 12 Corporate members. From the outset, we wanted to add value to members and set out to develop a modest six year plan which members have responded to very positively. Our last meeting alone in November attracted 12 new business members, Mr Hamdan added. I encourage all businesses to take interest in this young but very dynamic and interactive organisation. He thanked members for their confidence in his leadership and hope he can live to their expectations.
The new Board is made up of the following people:
President: Mr. Radwan Hamdan (Hamdan & Assoc Chartered Accountants)
Vice President: Mr. Simon Diab (Simon Diab & Associates)
Secretary: Mr. Hassan Moussa (R.M.Gregory Printers)
Treasurer: Mr. Eddie Chehab (Advanced Timber Group)
Board Members:
